Splash Time!

The Garey Park Splash Pad is one of the best places for kids to cool off around Georgetown. The splash pad is located in the southwestern corner of Garey Park and offers cool, wet activities for every kid (and kid at heart). Not only does the the splash pad help kids to enjoy the out of doors on hot days, but it also encourages physical activity.

The nearly 7,000 square foot amenity offers 28 water features controlled by motion sensors, including 5 water cannons, 2 water tunnels, a spider spray and a large water mill — a recipe for fun!

It’s easy to keep it cool on hot summer days at Garey Park’s splash pad. The pad has very little standing water, offering a safe, low-risk environment where children can play and parents can relax.

The splash pad offers a play environment that encourages interaction. Children can play impromptu games, blast water cannons, and anxiously stand together in anticipation of “the bucket” to drop its water from above. The splash pad has multiple spray zones that appeal to all age groups.

The well-designed splash pad offers universal accessibility for all types of physical abilities. The splash pad is open daily during park hours from April 1 through October 31. The splash pad closes 30 minutes prior to park closing.

Garey Park Splash Pad Rules

  1. Adult supervision required.
  2. Smoking is prohibited.
  3. Use or possession of any glass bottles is prohibited.
  4. No outside grills.
  5. No pets allowed on the splash pad.
  6. Children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers.
  7. Splash pad closes 30 minutes prior to park closing.
  8. Pets must remain on leash and under the control of owner.
  9. Exhibit appropriate language and behavior.
  10. Please do not remove or damage splash pad features or vegetation.
  11. Be aware of your surroundings and respectful of other park guests.
  12. The pavilion and picnic tables are available for general use unless reserved.
  13. No commercial or business activities allowed in the park, unless authorized by the City of Georgetown.
  14. Place litter in receptacles around splash pad.

  1. The splash pad looks like a great place for the family. As for fees, what is a “resident”? Of Georgetown or the county?
