Tuesday Free-dom
Everyday is a great day to visit Georgetown’s largest city park, but visitors can enter Garey Park for free on Tuesdays throughout most of the year. Yes, you read that right. Admission fees for Garey Park are waived on Tuesdays during the fall, winter and much of the spring.
Beginning in the fall of each year, entrance to Garey Park will be free on Tuesdays. The splash pad at Garey Park will remain open through October 31, weather permitting.
Free Tuesdays at Garey Park
Free Tuesdays will last from October through May, so you have plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy a hike, play at the playscape, let your pups run at the dog park, ride your horse on the trails or check out our stocked fishing ponds within the park.
“My four five old grandson and I spent a few hours at Garey Park this past Tuesday, and what fun we had together! The kids’ area is awesome with lots of fun activities for children. There was plenty of shade when we needed it, and the splash pad was great for cooling off.
What an awesome opportunity for the families in Georgetown and Leander. Great job of design that allows for building around the natural elements of the acreage.”
